The Continuing Saga of Bert: The Food Obsessed Cat Pt. 3

We bring you another adventure of our friend Bert, cat brother to Emma from MyGBGVLife.

Bert is food obsessed and we’ve posted about his obsession previously and Part 2 here. But this really takes the cake…or the bone. Bert’s mom got a yummy pork femur bone from our friends at Jones Chews. The bone was for EMMA and her sisters Bailie & Katie. But Bert had other plans for it and jumped on the counter, chewed through the wrapper and was enjoying ‘his’ yummy femur bone until mom caught him.

Photographic evidence:

I’d say this qualifies for Monday Mischief even if Bert is a cat.

  2. Wow this is too funny. My cat Cosmo is a little overweight and obsessed with food… though not like this! He generally stays away from human food (no dogs in this house) but he did manage to jump on my counter [which I’ve never actually seen him do, but he must do it when I’m out], knock over a bag of lemon-pistachio biscotti, and tear that apart. At least he has classy taste…

  3. haha!!!! Great post! Mischievous kitty, of course!

  7. Trusts me, cats can get into just as much trouble as dogs. Perhaps more, since they can get into trouble vertically–as in, they can climb.

  9. Wow … Bert sounds like the feline version of my bottomless pit, Prince. He is always hungry and even more so now since I have put him on a diet.
Emma is going to have to step up security on the bones. I’m not sure how the cat got the bone but there have to be fail safes in place to avoid situations like this.
    Happy Memorial Day 🙂

    • Extra security is critical I think. We’re love to hear more about Prince – care to do a guest post?
